Policy for Answering Individual Questions

I regret that, due to the sheer volume of email I receive, I am unable to directly answer questions concerning individual situations from artists who are not clients or current students in my online classes.

I am happy, however, to consider your question for a topic for my blog or for the Art Marketing Action newsletter. By answering your question in public discourse, my hope is that it will also benefit many other artists. If you are interested in contacting me with a question that would be answered in one of these manners, please follow these four steps. I cannot promise that it will be addressed within a certain time frame. Email me:

1. Your question. Be as specific as possible.
2. Use this subject line: Artist's Question
3. If you are facing a deadline, please put the date you need a response in the same subject line (e.g. "Artist's Question 2/15/07"). This is not a guarantee that I'll be able to answer within your time frame.
4. Whether you would like for me to use your name or remain anonymous. I must have your permission to give you credit.
5. If you don't mind your name being used, include a link to your website and permission to feature your work along with your question. Any use of your work on my sites would include full credit, copyright, and a link to your site.

Only questions with this format will be considered, so please follow these directions. I will not be able to contact you for clarification.

If you feel your question demands more personal attention, consider an individual consultation. These are done entirely over the telephone at a mutually agreeable time, last approximately one hour, and are $150. You will be asked for a complete assessment (via email) before the phone call so that I can better gauge your needs before we talk. Read about these consultations.
