BRAG! About Your Art (without being a bore)

with Alyson B. Stanfield and special guest Peggy Klaus . . .

Peggy Klaus

Recorded Interview

Peggy Klaus

Brag is not a 4-letter word!

In fact, in today's competitive art world, bragging is a necessity—not a choice. Remaining quiet about yourself or, worse, downplaying your successes leads to being underappreciated, or even allowing others to take credit for your achievements.

As many of you know, I often recommend Peggy Klaus's book BRAG! The Art of Tooting Your Own Horn Without Blowing It. I think every artist should read it and use it. And now Peggy has agreed to talk with you about why and how you should brag.

We've all met them—those shameless self-promoters. The painter who shoves her business card in your face or the sculptor who derides all of your ideas because his are better. The ones who elbow their way in, reminding us that they're working harder, they're more accomplished, and downright better than us. To add insult to injury, they are the people who get ahead.

In this audio interview, Peggy shares how to shape and tell your own life stories in a way that ingratiates instead of grates.
